The Can Makers is the trade body representing the UK companies responsible for the manufacture of beverage cans. Members work together specifically to promote the benefits of the beverage can and aid communication between the industry and its customers: brewers and soft drinks manufacturers, retailers, the packaging industry, media and consumers.
Members are the manufacturers Ball Packaging Europe, Crown Bevcan UK and Rexam Beverage Can; their raw materials suppliers Constellium, AkzoNobel, Darex UK, Hydro Aluminium, and Valspar Europe; the specialist de-tinning company AMG/Shardal, multipack supplier ITW Hi-Cone and aluminium drink can recycler Novelis.
The UK is the largest beverage can market in Europe, with over 9.8 billion cans filled each year. The Can Makers was the first organisation in Europe formed to promote drink cans.
